I'm predicting that they keep finding ever further galaxies and heavier elements in the ones on the edge, rather than some initial state.

Among its various other patches, when they used the premise of spacetime to explain why "space expands" and the other galaxies are not just receding in space, they totally ignored the fact that if space were to relativistically expand, the speed of light would have to increase proportionally, in order to remain Constant.

Instead they are extracting two metrics of space from the same intergalactic light. One based on the speed and one based on the spectrum and the speed is stilling being used as the denominator, or it would be a "tired light" theory.

Which would mean they are still implicitly assuming space is defined by the speed of light.
