The Democrats had the option of taking the high road, after losing to Trump, trying to legislate around him and showing the institution will always be bigger than any one man. Instead they took the low road and started pitching more mud than even Trump is able. Consequently doing more, much more damage to the system, than any outside malefactor could ever imagine.

It’s not as though anyone in the media ever tried to do an objective analysis of how much all the various countries in the world might have tried to affect the election and where Russia might have actually been on that list. The Saudis bragged about putting 29 million into Hillary’s campaign, but that doesn’t fit the narrative.

What members of the media and the political class have lost sight of, is how important reputation is. It is a complex world out there and they are painting themselves in a corner and it will come back to bite them. Feedback and blowback is a fact of life, no matter how big and powerful you may think you are.

The real traitors and criminals are those destroying the system and when the entire world is focused on a contest between the honor of Donald Trump, versus the honor of Joe Biden, we are on the road to hell.
