I'm sorry. I guess it is somewhat unfair and hurtful to ask someone living on the surface to look under the surface, but the question is whether we put a bandaid over the problems, or try to figure out the reasons and beliefs driving us so far out of whack with the larger reality.

Unfortunately death and destruction are part of nature, even if we prefer her pretty face. Maybe giant rats and cockroachs take over after we finish, but even if we nuke ourselves off the face of the planet, other forms of life will grow back over.

Having spent my life out in nature, I can attest to the fact she is pretty resilient and eventually fills in the gaps. "Nature abhors a vacuum."

As for the rest of the essay, I guess it isn't worth trying to explain it. Cheers.
