I'm thinking the left brain analytical, ie, focused side is centripetal, while the right brain instinctive, emotional side is centrifugal. Synchronization and harmonization.

We have become obsessed with the details, but to see the bigger picture requires looking beyond the details. Consider that the people running armies are called generals, while specialist is about one rank above private.

Though kids who are interesting in everything will get diagnosed as attention deficient and medicated until their minds fit back in the box, before they can start figuring out how it all fits and flows together.

Actually specialization and complexity is part of the evolutionary cycle. In the equilibrium stage, every resource is used and niche is filled, until it gets "punctuated," then adaptability rules. One of the reasons people, as a species, are successful, is because we are adaptable.

I think the big picture is thermodynamics. Consider galaxies are energy radiating out, as mass/form coalesces in, basically a cosmic convection cycle. We evolved in a thermodynamic environment, but try defining it narratively. Then wonder why things insist on going in circles.
