Inflation, Dark Matter and Dark Energy are extremely enormous fudge factors.
Eventually the James Webb will do to the Big Bang theory, what CERN did to super symmetry and string theory, even though there are lots of theorists out there still saying these are the only models we have, so they must be true.
I'm sure many Big Bang theorists will go to their grave insisting it's all proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.
As the saying in science goes, "Change happens one funeral at a time."
