Will we look for new ones after the crash, or will we gain some perspective?

We are driven by desire, but it is never contained by the objects of our desire. When we come to terms with that, we come to see desire is like a talent, or a muscle. It can be practiced and exercised, but without keeping it balanced and in the larger context, it becomes disconnected, meaningless and corrupted.

The feedback loops need a circuit breaker, or they cook all the wiring.
