It doesn't seem too many people think about the bigger picture here.

Israel is part of a larger world, but Zionism is about the enthnicity than the ethics, so the global blowback being generated by all those pictures being broadcast to the entire planet is what will be most detrimental to Israel as a state.

Remember last time it was the Zealots that didn't think the Israelite God had to bow to the Roman gods. That Bronze age tribalism didn't recognize how it had to fit into the larger network that human civilization was evolving into and now the Zionists seem determined to have to learn the same lesson.

The logical flaw in modern monotheism is that ideals are not absolutes.

Truth, beauty, platonic forms are ideals. The core codes, creeds, heroes, narratives at the gravitational center of every society and culture are ideals. Without which they break apart and be scattered to the winds. Tower of Babel.

Yet the universal is the elemental, so a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. The light shining through and animating the film, than the stories playing out on it.

Shorn of its ethics and just as an ethnicity, Judaism tends toward self centeredness. The Chosen schtick.

What this creates is a feedback loop with no circuit breakers. Like putting the microphone up to the speaker. Which well explains why Israel seems determine to spiral into that vortex. Echo chamber. Plato's Cave. Lewis' rabbit hole.

No sacrificing red heifers is going to save it from crashing.
