It is a chore to look at it from the other direction, framing culture in the context of nature, but it is possible;

The list of flaws built into modern culture is the primary reason for its approaching collapse.
For one thing, the maps/models break down over infinities and disappear at zero, so when we try to impose our models onto the larger reality, there are innumerable loose ends, for which the doctrine insists can only be patched, never falsified.
If the map included all the information from the territory, any signal would be lost back in the noise.
If your accountant could just write in a figure and call it "Dark Money," whenever he found a gap in the books, all problems would be solved.
Epicycles were brilliant math, as a model of our view of the cosmos. Which is to say that if the premises are flawed, all the 'shut up and calculate' is just so much GIGO.
For one thing, time is not the present moving past to future, that we experience as mobile organisms with this sequential process of perception, but change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
Knowledge, the signals we extract from the noise, are what resonates and synchronizes with our prior knowledge, going back to earliest childhood memories. So those foundation stones originate from our most uninformed states.
This applies to cultures as well, with religions as the collective childhood memories and lessons of the society, generally tailored to the benefits of the elites.
Keep in mind that democracy and republicanism originated in pantheistic cultures, if you want some hint of just how deep all the cultural mind control goes.
I could go on, but find most people have serious Overton windows they cannot afford to question.
