It isn't so much the void and the vacuum. We can all look out in space and come to realize just how empty it all is. What seems to be missed is equilibrium, as an aspect of space. It's implicit in Special Relativity, as the frame with the fastest clock and longest ruler would be closest to motionless relative to this vacuum. As opposed to one moving at the speed of light, where the clock has stopped and any possible measurement is frozen, as any motion in that frame would exceed the speed of light, relative to that vacuum.
This is the real zero between the positives and negatives, the fluctions of the vacuum.
