It occurred to me fairly early in life there is far more information than I could possibly absorb, especially as I grew up on a farm and spent much of my life working, so the solution was to try to understand the processes and dynamics generating all this information.

Consequently I tried reading up on history, then philosophy, then physics, thinking that would be the way to dig under the surface.

Unfortunaely the result was more chaos, confusion and indoctrination, so I just stuck to working and reading whatever tickled my fancy.

Over time, much of it spent working outside, I've developed a fairly basic, useful understanding about our situation on the surface of this planet.

For one thing, time isn't so much the point of the present, moving past to future, that we experience as mobile organisms navigating our world, but change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Energy is "conserved," because it creates time, as well as temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.

Ideal gas laws correlate volume with temperature and pressure, but we don't call them dimensions of space, even though they are as foundational to our emotions, bodily functions and environment, as time is to the sequence of thought.

So energy, as process and present, goes past to future, while the patterns it generates go future to past. In terms of a wave, energy drives it, while the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and organized thoughts giving it form go future to past. Though it is the gut and heart processing and circulating the energy, while the central nervous system sorts and orders the information. Signals from the noise.

Consequently the intellectual division of order and chaos, rather than energy and form.

Given form is elementally waves, waves tend to either synchronize, which is centripetal, or harmonize, which is centrifugal.

Thus the distinction of nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems, particles and fields.

For example, "entangled" "particles" are synchronized, logically implying they are more wavelike, than actual, discrete "particles."

There are other interesting physical aspects to this, but as that bumps up against the authority of Theory, it is a waste of time to go there, so the more social and political aspects are more interesting and useful.

Consider how much society functions by everyone synchronizing their beliefs. That hive mind we seem to either become one with, or repelled by. Be it reltions, politics, communities, etc. The monetization of society is an effort to synchronize are our billions of networks and relations.

Though to go back to physics, the end state of synchronization is the black hole, so if this tendency isn't kept in check, it will destroy the networks.

While the end state of harmonization is black body radiation, so we need to fluctuate somewhere in the middle.

I could go on, but just trying to make the point that some general sense is possible.
