It seems my instinct to avoid formal education, like it was the plague, wasn't all wrong.

To me, physics is trying not to get too hurt, too often.

some lessons learned;

As these mobile organisms, this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of time is as the present moving past to future, which physics codifies as measures of duration.

The evident reality is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Duration is the present, as the events come and go.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform nd drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Different clocks can run at different rates because they are separate actions. Think metabolism.

That culture is about synchronizing the group into a larger cultural organism, using the same languages, rules and measures, it might seem like there should be one universal, Newtonian flow of time, but nature is so diverse and yet integrated because everything doesn't march tot he beat of the same drummer.

time is asymmetric, because it's measure of action and action is internal. The earth only turns one direction. Entropy is irrelevant, especially to the regular cycles usually used to measure time.

Energy is conserved, because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound. Frequencies and amplitude, rates and degrees.

So the energy, as the present, goes past to future, because the patterns generated coalesce and dissolve, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall. No tiny strings necessary.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it is the digestive system processing the energy, the nervous system sorting the information and the circulation system in the middle.

Galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in....

Liberalism is the social energies pushing out, while conservatism is the civil and cultural forms coalescing in.....
