It seems the big problem with the non-duel, aka, monism, is that it tries to formulate reality in terms of a focal point, be it God, or Big Bang, when the contextual reality is that all such nodes exist in larger networks.

One is the node, oneness is the network.

The logical fallacy of monotheism is that ideals are not absolutes. Truth, beauty, platonic forms are ideals. The codes, creeds, heroes, narratives at the core of every culture are ideals, not absolutes.

The universal is the elemental, not the ideal. A spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. More the light shining through the film, than the narratives playing out on it.

Science looks to the elements, art looks to the ideals.

As mobile organisms, this sentient interface our bodies have with their situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of time is as the present moving is as the present moving past to future. It is the basis of culture and the civilizations arising from the interactions of the various cultures. Physics codifies it as measures of duration.

The evident reality though, is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Duration is the present, as the events come and go.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect. It's like a tapestry being woven of strands being pulled from what was woven.

Energy is conserved, because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color, sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated come and, coalesce and dissolve, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it is the digestive system processing the energy, feeding the flame, while the nervous system sorts the information and the circulation system is feedback in the middle.

Consider as well, that galaxies, the dominant dynamic in the universe, are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.

While energy expanding might not need much explanation, beyond entropy, the question is as to why structure coalesces?

Which seems to be that entropy for structure is to synchronize. Everything from the fact that what we perceive as signals in the noise is what resonates and then synchronizes with our prior knowledge, to the fact anything actually falling into black holes is shot out as quasars, which are like giant lasers and lasers are synchronized light waves.

So there is this elemental tension between energy and the forms expressed.

Which not only goes to our inherent nature, the anarchies of desire, versus the tyrannies of judgement, heart and head, but to our political and economic models and the social tensions coursing through them. Thermodynamics rules.
