It would seem Netanyahu bears some responsibility for Hamas, whatever their actions.

There certainly seem to be as many Israeli's who feel it is right to beat up the Palestinians.

"Mowing the grass."

"Turn the other cheek" doesn't seem to be a lesson either side understands.

Two wrongs don't make a right and unless there is some circuit breaker to the feedback loops, it does spiral out of control. Everyone loses.

Israel is not a very large country, the United States is rapidly, both in terms of debt and political implosion, reaching a point where foreign entanglements simply cannot be afforded. Europe seems headed for its own crisis, between Ukraine, political chaos and economic weakness.

Meanwhile the rest of Asia, as well as the global south, would seem to be coalescing into an anti-Western bloc.

What is Israel's back up plan? The Samson option?
