It's interesting the propaganda campaign for Israel has not been as overwhelming as it was for Covid, or Ukraine. The fissures run deep.

Netanyahu is on record as enabling funding of Hamas in order to undercut the PA and avoid the two state idea. Given Hamas would be just one more radical group without that support, Netanyahu is far more responsible for Oct 7th, than any kid in Gaza, so why isn't he arrested and interrogated?

Probably because anyone with the power to do so also thought it was a brilliant idea.

The much deeper reality is that ideals are not absolutes. Monotheism is logically flawed, even though it became the organizing principle of Western civilization.

Truth, beauty, platonic forms are ideals. The creeds, codes, heroes, gods, narratives that serve as the gravitational center of any culture are ideals.

They are not absolutes.

Morality is not an absolute, because if it were, it could not be transgressed, like a temperature below absolute zero. Morality is an ideal. That basic code supporting and enabling a healthy, functioning society.

Ancient Israel was a monarchy. The Big Guy Rules. Sort of like the religion.

Given the universal is the elemental, a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. More the light shining through and animating the film, than any narrative playing out on it.

Three thousand years ago, when the Sinai Desert was all there was, having some tribal god looking over you was a good idea. Even when it came to dealing with other tribes, thinking your Big Daddy was badder than their Big Daddy was useful.

Remember though, that democracy and republicanism originated in pantheistic cultures.

Rome adopted a monotheistic sect as state religion as the Empire was rising from the ashes of the Republic. The Big Guy Rules.

So monotheism served as the eschatological basis for monarchy, for the next 1500 years.

When the West went back to more populist forms of governance, it required separation of church and state, culture and civics. Which is schizophrenic.

The problem with making some Almighty God as moral policemen, is there is no naturally evolving code to back it, when he fear of God died, so the Will to Power rose in the void. Might is right.

Leaving the amoral assholes in charge.

Having the character of bacteria, they have the strategic aptitude of bacteria as well, given they break down the social organism that is the strength of civilization.
