Michael,

A large part of the problem is that money functions as a contract, with one side an asset and the other a debt, that we have come to treat as a commodity, to save and store. We treat it as both medium of exchange and store of value, but in the body, blood is the medium and fat is the store, so mixing them up is problematic.
