It is evident we are witnessing the downfall of the West.
The irony is that a hundred, a thousand years from now, the greatest gift the West will have given humanity will be that it did drive the rest of the world into the same corner, where they could see the advantages of working together and not being total assholes to each other.
Would Russia, China, Iran, India have overcome their various differences otherwise?
The essential fallacy underlaying the West is the very monotheism on which it is based.
Ideals are not absolute.
Think just a minute of the various pathologies that would be assigned to someone who thought of their ideals as absolute, from narcissism, to obsessive compulsive to sociopathic.
