Keep in mind all that neurological hardware and software between the sense and motor functions evolved as a survival mechanism.

Then we have a cultural focus on the object, from the atom to the individual, where the networking giving rise to them is lost to our reductionist filters, as we spiral now those rabbit holes, seeking signal entirely stripped of noise.

So we end up in these feedback loops with no circuit breakers. Which is a much larger problem than just the self absorbed twits that can't see beyond the reflections on their own bubbles.
