Keep in mind that Netanyahu is on record as supporting and enabling the funds going to Hamas, from Qatar, as a way to counter the PA and avoid the two state idea.

Without that funding, Hamas would just be another fringe radical group in the area. So Netanyahu is far, far more responsible for Oct 7th, than any kid in Gaza. So why hasn't he been arrested and interrogated?

Possibly because anyone with the power to arrest him thought it was a great idea as well.

Consider that Ancient Israel was a monarchy. The Big Guy Rules.

Sort of like the religion.

Democracy and republicanism originated in pantheistic cultures.

Was it entirely coincidence Rome adopted a monotheistic sect as its state religion, as the Empire was rising from the ashes of the Republic?

Or that in order to go back to such populist forms, it required separation of church and state, culture and civics?

I suspect the laws of unintended consequences are not quite done with Israel. The centripetal and centrifugal elements battling it out before Oct 7th, have not evaporated, just because the tribe feels compelled to follow the crazies down the rabbit hole.

Unfortunately it is no longer the Bronze Age and we are not fighting with spears and chariots.

The technology is more evolved, even if many of the social beliefs are not.
