Keep in mind that while people are linear and goal oriented, nature is cyclical and feedback driven.

The people who make it are not necessarily the ones sitting fat and happy on top, because eventually their wave recedes. Nor is it the ones getting crunched under foot, whether in this country, or any other.

It's the ones somewhere in the middle, who can both feel that rumble underneath and see the light up above.
