Keep in mind we are these organisms on the surface of this particular planet and being mobile, this sentient interface our bodies have with their situation functions as this sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of time is as the present moving past to future, but the evident reality is that activity and the resulting change is turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Different clocks can run at different rates simply because they are separate actions. Think metabolism.

That we live in these societies, that try to synchronize our behaviors as one larger social organism, using the same languages, rules, measures, it might seem there is one universal flow of time, or should be, but it's rabbit time and turtle time. The turtle is still plodding along, long after the rabbit has died.

Though we all do live on this one particular planet, with its cycles and seasons.

That different events will appear in different order from different locations is no more consequential than seeing the moon as it was a moment ago, simultaneous with seeing stars as they were years ago. It is the energy that is conserved, that the information changes is time.

Energy is "conserved," because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

Ideal gas laws correlate temperature and pressure with volume, similar to how relativity correlates duration with distance, yet we don't confuse them with space, even though they are as foundational to our emotions and bodily functions, as sequence is to thought.

The energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated coalesce and dissolve, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.

Given that consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past, it should be noted it's the digestive system processing the energy, thus feeding the flame, the nervous system sorting the information and the circulation system as feedback in the middle, that is why we are emotional before we are logical.
