Logically a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. That we are aware, than the aspirations we seek.
Good and bad are not some cosmic duel between the forces of righteousness and evil, but the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. The 1/0 of sentience. It isn't the goal of the system, it is the basis of the system.
We exist in this feedback loop between desire and judgement. The heart and the head. Transcendence and order.
The price we pay to feel, is that much of it is pain. Without the ups and downs, it's a flatline.
