Lol. And how much of what got shipped to Afghanistan got lost? All of it. That's the point.

While everyone likes to point fingers at the military industrial complex as the root of all evil, the real elephant in the room is the financial markets and the banking system need all that government debt to function. The secret sauce of capitalism is public debt backing private wealth. The wars are just a burn pit.

We are linear goal seeking creatures in a cyclical, circular, feedback generated reality, so while markets need money to circulate, people see it as signal to extract and store. Yet since it really is a contract, rather than a commodity, the system needs the debt to back the asset, in order to store it.

A medium is not a store. Blood is a medium, fat is a store. Roads are a medium, parking lots are a store. The hallway is a medium, the hall closet is a store. The average five year old can figure it out, but economists are "educated." which is politeze for being indoctrinated.
