Consider that to culture, good and bad are some cosmic duel, between the forces of righteousness and evil, while in nature, it's the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. The 1/0 of sentience. So while our cultures are the stories we tell children, to get them to behave, nature is this enormous super computer that keeps coming up with answers we don't want to hear.

Logically a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. More the light shining through the film, than whatever narrative is playing out on it.

Money is a social contract, enabling large societies, not a commodity to mine from them. Yet we create this world where our worth is a function of sucking value out of everything, not how much we contribute to it.

The fact is that life is short and it's like a sentence. The end is just punctuation. What matters is how well we tie the rest of the story together.
