Mike,
I know a fair amount of the back story, but so do those involved and they have developed thick skin in ignoring it.
My interest isn't so much the modern Israeli situation, but how it plays as part of the rise and fall of the West.
Of which I suspect, Ukraine and Israel will only be the opening acts.
Wait until the dollar and the markets start to crack, the EU and Nato finish smashing themselves over Russia. The US political landscape becomes ungovernable.
Given Hezbollah seems dug in for whatever Israel has to throw at it and Israel pretty much shot its wad over Gaza, I suspect the state of Israel will be in worse shape than Ukraine is now, by this time next year, given it is much smaller and is surrounded by potential adversaries, not just one big one on one side.
Israel's big hope is the US will save its ass. Just like Ukraine's big hope was the US.
While most people are fixated on the cultural brands and salesmanship, I like to look under the hood, to see what makes it all tick;
