Monica,
I have to take you to task for the Russiagate assumption.
Do you think it is safe to say that literally every country on this planet has some stake in who leads and what direction the United States goes? Such that there was likely significant international efforts to affect the outcome, much as our country often seeks to affect the outcomes of other nation's direction and leadership?
Did ANY news organization, no matter which side they were on, try to quantify that, on a country by country basis?
Frankly I found that with all the effort put into it, that they could only find a piddling amount of Russian influence, to be the real surprise. Think all the countries, from Canada to Turkey, that naturally would have some interest. A Saudi Arabian prince bragged on Jordanian television about funneling 29 million into Hillary's campaign.
Yet somehow, it's always the Russians. Might the real motive be for our military to have a boogeyman, so the trillions in defense spending don't get wasted on schools and other minor social issues, that is the real reason for this obsession?
Who do you think gives those politicians jobs, when they retire? Certainly they don't go to teaching school, unless it's Harvard.
