Monica,

You sum up the problem. It isn't racism, so much as people's simplistic, yes/no, good/bad approach to so much of life.

Right now we have this left right divide that is becoming a chasm and any effort to try to explore the feedback between the two is lost in the shouting.

I've previously mentioned how we need to develop more of a yin/yang approach, where the dynamic relationships come to the fore, rather than these reductionist be all end all answers and it doesn't seem to penetrate too many shells, in my various similar efforts around medium. Safe to say, I've never used twitter and only have a legacy account on facebook, so it just doesn't seem like people want to stretch their minds, rather than run along with the biggest crowds.

Given the general direction seems toward more preaching and handwaving, than actual shooting, it seems the only option is, as you suggest, ignore what appears nonsense, because it will only drag you down to that level, not look up to where the light is shining.

We live in interesting times.
