My modeling of time;

As these mobile organisms, our experience of our world is as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so we model time as the point of the present moving past to future. Physics codifies it as measures of duration.

The reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Duration is the present as the events coalesce and dissolve.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

So time is an effect, like temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.

Energy is "conserved," because it is the present, creating time. As such, it goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past.

Energy drives the wave, while the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past, though it's the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy, while the central nervous system sorts the information. Motor and steering.

So different clocks can run at different rates simply because they are separate actions in separate circumstances. Metabolism, for example.

Time is asymmetric because it is a measure of action and action is inertial. The earth only turns one direction. Entropy is a second order effect and not what is directly measured.

Different events will be observed in different order from different locations, because it is the energy being conserved, not the information. The changing information is time.

Waves tend to both synchronize, which is centripetal, and harmonize, which is centrifugal. So there are nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems, particles and fields.

Gravity is a centripetal effect and while there are "black holes" at the center of galaxies, don't forget the quasars shooting out the poles.

Consider that quasars amount to giant lasers and lasers are synchronized light waves.

So galaxies are both the energy radiating out, as the structure coalesces in. Harmonizing with the rest of the universe, as they synchronize within themselves.

The excess gravity is synchronization across the entire spectrum.

Cosmic convection cycles.
