My sense is string theory is the last iteration of atomism. Trying to find that smallest "thing" from which everything else is made.

My argument is there is no smallest thing, just the energy and the forms being manifest. The music is more real...

I don't see time as a dimension, nor do I see space as fundamentally dimensional. That just being a mapping device, like longitude, latitude and altitude.
