Nature's algorithms are synchronization, which is centripetal, versus harmonization, which is centrifugal.

So nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems, particles and fields.

Our conscious state is this interface between the body and its environment, so it is a function of fluctuating between synchronization and harmonization.

Though in our monolithically minded culture, we tend to get stuck in ruts and not learn to surf across them, when necessary.

Right now it has us heading for a cliff, but in the long run, species-wise, it's education.
