No, it doesn't say it originates from within the event horizon, but what, other than theory, says anything even falls within the event horizon? What if it's like the eye of the storm and all the activity is the wall? If we look at a tornado, it's what swirls around the center that matters.
It seems like there is a dynamic, between energy radiating out, while structure coalesces in, so it does seem to be the properties of a convection cycle.
The best explanation for gravity is that it's a curvature of space, but what we experience is a centripetal effect.
Considering that reality is largely waves and waves tend to either synchronize, which is centripetal, or harmonize, which is centrifugal, given the energy is distributed, the effect is nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems, probably particles and fields, but that's a larger argument.
So if these waves are synchronizing across broad spectrums of activity, the tendency will be for them to pull together, as a "path of least resistance."
The consequence is that more energy is defined by less information. What we refer to as "order."
As opposed to lots of information required to describe the energy, aka, chaos.
Now mass is a form of order and supposedly the reason for gravity, but what if it's the other way around, that this centripetal effect creates mass?
Then all the excess gravity, for which the mass is invisible, would actually be synchronization across the entire spectrum of activity.
The culmination of which are these "black holes." Of which theory supposes are some inescapable mass, or possibly a portal into another dimension.
What if they are the eye of the storm, where all the wave action and energy coalesces into one giant swirl. Ejecting these quasars.
Consider how much the quasars resemble lasers and lasers are synchronized light waves. Though quasars are not as refined as lasers and do carry some heavy elements, probably further refining them.
I suspect you're not going to follow me on this, but I thought I'd spell out some thoughts a bit further.
