Pretty big goal there.
How do you go back to analog, when the entire culture is obsessed with digital? Atomization, quantification, monetization, objectivization......
How many layers to you think would have to be peeled away?
My starting point is time. We are mobile organisms, which necessitates our biological sentience coalescing as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate. So our experience of time is as the point of the present moving past to future. Physics codifies it as measures of duration.
The reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Duration is the present, as the events rise and fall.
There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Aka, causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
Energy is conserved, because it is only present. It creates time, as well as temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.
So energy, as process, goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past.
Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.
Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it's the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy, feeding the flame, while the central nervous system sorts the information. Which is why consciousness is constantly pushing and probing even its own expressions, creating different ones.
Order and transcendence.
Meanwhile we have a culture obsessed with finding some signal in the noise, as linear, goal oriented creatures in a cyclical, circular, feedback generated reality.
You are right, it is waves, but are you willing to look that far down into the system?
Waves tend to either synchronize, which is inherently centripetal, or harmonize, which is effectively centrifugal. So there are nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems, particles and fields. Our sentient interface between body and world has to fluctuate somewhere in the middle, but in truth, we just want our cookie. To have our cookie and eat it too.
Order and transcendence.
Head and heart.
Anarchies of desire and tyrannies of judgement.
Galaxies of energy radiating out and structure coalescing in. Cosmic convection cycles.
Feedback.
