Safe to say, Siegel acts like a mouthpiece for establishment viewpoints. I've never seen him respond to comments, so it was only aimed at other readers.

The first observes that one way light does redshift over distance, is as multi-spectrum "packets," as the higher frequencies dissipate faster.
Though the implication then would be that we are sampling a wavefront and that the quantification of light is an artifact of its absorption and measurement, not fundamental to the light itself.
Therefore a "loading," or "threshold" theory of quantification. Which the second paper examines.
The interview is with one Carver Mead, who, among other accomplishments, did the math behind Moore's Law. Arguing that modern theoretical physics has made some serious wrong turns and that's why it's made no progress in the last thirty years. One of his points is that waves are where it's at and quantification is an artifact of the devices.
