Ukraine is effect. The issue is cause.

The one thing the politicians are really good at, is creating public debt. The financial system needs that debt in order to monetize everything and suck all value out. When it's done to other countries, it's called, "disaster capitalism." When it's done to poor people, it's called, "predatory lending."

The banks don't care what they spend the money on, just so that it is wasted and not properly invested, so they can seize assets.

So basically our political prostitutes are out playing cowboys and indians on the other side of the planet, while the country falls apart.

When the interest on the debt can no longer be paid, the holders of that debt, much of which will be bought up off any foreign countries currently holding it fairly cheaply, will be traded for any remaining public assets and we go back to feudalism.
