Scott,

There isn’t much honor among thieves.

The problem is that conservatism is about strengthening the bonds and structures of society, while liberalism is about testing and pushing them. That’s why conservatives are the ones much more focused on what they want, while liberals are full of energy, but generally go off in every direction.

The current situation though, is that the structure of society today, is about the bottom line. Which the Republicans have been chasing for the last hundred years, while the Democrats only really since Clinton and the “Third Way.”

As I keep pointing, nature is cyclical, while people are linear and goal oriented, so while markets need money to circulate, like blood, we want to store it, like fat. Thus the powers that be are all about their billions, while the rest of the economy is driven into debt.

Sometimes the future becomes a reaction to the past, rather than a continuation of it and sensing that turning requires an ear to the ground.

Trump is a bankruptcy skating con artist and it playing the game against itself. He is parasiting the parasites and they don’t like it.

He has them in a circular firing squad.
