Since the effect was to preclude negotiations, why not make the response a diplomatic counter punch?

Such as stage a walkout of the United Nations and propose an alternative international forum in a more neutral location.

Turkey would be the ideal place, given it has been the cross roads of civilization for thousands of years and has balanced itself between East and West.

This would make Israel the cause of why the US would lose its presumption of international diplomatic authority.

All that build up of military forces in the region would look weak, if the response was to pull the rug out from under the US diplomatically.

The bull is power.

The matador is art.
