Since we seem to be in the crowd frenzy stage, I suppose any debating the narrative would be seen as being a Putin apologist, but as someone who has watched our military industrial complex lie us into quite a number of wars, where we won every battle and lost every war, I am somewhat disillusioned by what Ukraine finds itself in.

Having seen the characters involved, it reminds me of the little kid being told by the big kids to go poke the bear, if he wants to be liked. The term that comes to mind is, "useful idiots."

There are no moral facilities on the part of those pushing this war and once they've either broken Russia, or created more economic blowback than is convenient, Ukraine will become as forgotten as Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc.

Where will that leave Ukraine? Russia will just hunker down in the Eastern side, the US is about to become embroiled in an election where various interested parties face serious legal consequences, Europe finds Russian gas is not easy to replace and the Middle East finds itself in a food crisis. Basically Ukraine will be yesterday's news.

This is just another political fire that will burn out and the arsonists will run off to some other hit job.

Sorry.
