Sometimes I think they just make shit up, but then no one has a better answer, so it becomes The Truth.

Consider time;

As mobile organisms, this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our sense of time is as the present going past to future.

It is the basis of culture and civilization, as narrative and history. Physics codifies it as measures of duration and correlates in with measures of distance, to come up with spacetime.

The evident really, for those of us not spending our lives in classrooms and conference halls, is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Duration is the present, as the events change.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Energy is conserved, because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated come and go, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall. no tiny strings necessary.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past.

Suggesting consciousness manifests as an energy. Though it is the digestive system processing the energy, feeding the flame, the nervous system sorting the information, signals from the noise and the circulation system is feedback in the middle.

So consciousness isn't so much an effect of the thought process, as thinking is refereeing the emotions and desires bubbling up.

As for fate, maybe there is some cosmic consciousness directing the process, but for physics, the future is not determined, because the act of determination only occurs as the present. Without the present, there are no events to be fated.

The future simply hasn't been computed.

As for Dark Matter, let's just put it this way, what if your accountant could, whenever they find a gap in the books, just write in a figure and call it Dark Money? Would certainly make the job easier.

In real science, when observations don't match predictions, it is considered that the premise has been falsified, but in cosmology, the theory cannot be falsified, only patched. That's why they have Inflation, Dark Matter and Dark Energy, to cover all the rather enormous gaps between prediction and observation.

Just as a clue, what if the relationship between matter and gravity were reversed. That gravity is not so much a property of mass, as that the properties we associate with mass are intermediate effects of centripetal dynamics of waves, that go from the barest bending of the light, to the black holes at the center.

Then in tension with the essential light radiating out, harmonizing across space. Energy out, to the future, structure in, to the past.

Consider that anything actually falling into galactic black holes is shot out the poles as quasars, which are like giant lasers and lasers are synchronized light waves. So if the most basic form created is the wave and the natural, entropic tendency of waves is to synchronize, one big wave is more efficient than lots of small ones, it would create that vortex in the middle.

With resonance and reverberations as feedback between the synchronization pulling in and the harmonization of the radiation.

The music is more real than the matter.

Now I might be wrong, or wrong in places, tomorrow does become yesterday, because the earth turns, but this is just me pondering, not having to validate an entire field to which I've devoted my life.
