Technology only patches the effects. It doesn't address causes.
Good and bad are not some cosmic conflict between righteousness and evil, but the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. While it is necessary for a functioning society to have some structure of accepted behavior, treating good as aspirational rather than elemental, turns conflicts into a race to the bottom, of us versus them, as all nuance and subjectivity is suspect.
A spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. That we are aware, than the details of which we are aware.
Conflating the ideal, which is aspirational, with the absolute, which is elemental, results in a monoculture, where the Other is an affront to one's own True God.
Time is not the point of the present, moving past to future, that we experience as mobile organisms, needing this sequential process of perception in order to navigate, but change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
Energy is "conserved," because it is the present, not some dimensionless point between past and future. It creates time, as well as temperature, pressure, color, sound. Frequencies and amplitudes. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.
So energy, as process, goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past. In terms of a wave, the energy drives it, passing through, while the fluctuations rise and fall, back to equilibrium.
Effectively energy and ANY information derived from it are not synonymous. They go opposite directions of time. Consider what that would mean for the current confusion in theoretical physics.
Galaxies are energy radiating out, as form coalesces in.
Consciousness goes past to future, while perceptions, emotions and thoughts rise and fall, future to past.
So consciousness is a form of energy and energy is causal. Yet it is the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy, feeding the flame, while the central nervous system sorts the information.
Consider how much information can be carried by minute amounts of light. We are only scratching the hard surface of a very deep reality. Our current technology is complex, but conceptually crude.
Though society is far more crude. Of the various functions, government is analogous to the central nervous system, while money and finance are analogous to blood and the circulation system.
Yet Econ 101 says blood is both medium of exchange and store of value, but blood is a medium, while fat is a store. They are not synonymous. Our culture of collecting piles of these tokens, as though they are a commodity to mine from society, rather than the elementary contract enabling it, require the entire economy to generate the debt required to back the asset.
We are linear, goal oriented creatures in a cyclical, reciprocal, feedback generated reality. The wave we are creating will crash.
