Thank you very much for putting a lot of thought into this.

I would have to say though, that much of my outlook comes from personal experience. I grew up on a farm around more horses and cattle than people, so reading tended to be a passtime.

Having discovered from an early age that I could get more information from my own reading than school, I avoided much of the formal education process. Then the internet, late 90's, totally disrupted my attention span for whole books.

So my point of view is very bottom up. A feral philosopher.

Given that I'm quite used to the fact it gives me few points of contact with the society of the academy, it doesn't give me much in the way of conversation.

Which is both good and bad, given there is little to dictate how I process my viewpoints.

So I'm really just trying to get some debates started.
