I grew up round more horses and cattle, than people, so I tend to view culture through the prism of nature, than framing nature in terms of a particular culture.
To a certain extent, cultures are like brands of people. Under the surface, much of the principles are the same, so it's more about control and indoctrination, than enlightenment.
Though most people just want to run along with their herd, tribe, flock, school, culture, cult, brand.
