That Western philosophy tends to be about truths distilled from the noise of context, rather than their relationship with it, might explain both his exasperation and his own faulty logic. Maths comes to mind.

That Generals run armies, while Specialist is about one rank above private, might give some analogous description of the placement of generalist relative to specialist.
