The basic logical flaw in monotheism is that ideals are not absolutes.

Truth, beauty, platonic forms are ideals.

The core creeds, codes, heroes, narratives at the core of any society are ideals.

The universal, on the other hand, is the elemental.

So a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which life rises, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement from which it fell. More the light shining through and animating the film, than the stories and characters played out on it.

Morality is not absolute, since if it were, it could not be transgressed, like a temperature below absolute zero.

Morality is an ideal; the behaviors, beliefs, codes that enable a healthy and functional society.

To culture, good and bad tend to be some cosmic conflict, between the forces of righteousness and evil, while in nature, it's the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. The 1/0 of sentience.

So while culture makes a useful bonding agent, to hold societies together, it makes a distorted lens to understand the dynamics driving life.

Consider the mind is far more a function of dealing with problems, than enjoying the good times.

Humanity has spent the last few thousand years evolving from small tribal communities to nations of millions of people. It has and continues to be a learning experience.

Trial and error.
