I doubt Putin cares who is president. As he has said, our system is proving to be agreement incapable.

Basically the current Western governing philosophy has all the integrity of a colony of bacteria. It will do whatever it wants, whenever it feels, irrespective of any longer term consequences, respect for structural integrity, strategy, etc.

What our Western commentators don't seem to get is how much of a reality check the Russians got with the fall of the Soviet Union. Putin only got to the top, because he was a quiet little bureaucrat the oligarchs thought would make a good seat warmer, but he turned out to be more of a compass, than a wind vane.

It looks like the Israelis are holding off for the moment, likely to get everything organized. Which logically should take a couple of weeks, but it doesn't seem there is that much patience. Given the longer they take, likely the more holes will appear, than will be filled, so within the next couple of weeks, would be my guess.
