The conceptual errors go much deeper than using machines as metaphor.

For example, a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell.

It's certainly a political convenience to bow down to the father figure lawgiver, but the ideal is aspirational while the absolute is elemental. Treating ideals as absolute empowers the narrow minded and confuses the open minded.

The West remains under the shadow of this myopia, even if the literal interpretation has faded.

We continue to see ourselves through the lens of our constructs, rather than them as expressions of ourselves.

Money, for example. It functions as a social contract, enabling mass societies, but we treat it as a commodity to mine from them. The medium became the message.

Even narrative has colonized our identity. As these mobile organisms, our experience is as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so we model time as the point of the present, moving past to future, but the reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Energy is conserved, because it is the present. It creates time, as well as temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.

As process and present, energy goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past.

With a wave, the energy drives it, while the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts go future to past.

As lives go birth to death, while life moves onto the next generation, shedding the old.

Though it is the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy, feeding the flame, while the central nervous system sorts the information. Signals from the noise.

Consequently we tend to see reality in terms of order and chaos, rather than energy and form.

Though excess signal reverts to noise.

Machines are ordered, but order decays.

Energy and consciousness transcends order, because they are causal, while order is descriptive.

The future isn't determined, because the process of determination can only occur as the present.

Galaxies are energy radiating out, as form coalesces in.
