The fallacy of monotheism, which you are trying to express, is that a spiritual absolute would logically be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell.
The top down father figure lawgiver is a cultural construct, to pass lessons to the next generation, especially respect for authority. Stories for children.
Though it confuses the ideal with the absolute and that has had serious detrimental effects on the evolution of logical thought.
The problem of morality is that good and bad are not some cosmic dual between the forces of righteousness and evil, but the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. what is good for the fox, is bad for the chicken.
Reality is a dichotomy of energy and form. Energy radiates out, as form coalesces in. Like galaxies.
As biological entities, we have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, while the central nervous system sorts through the information precipitating out, referee the emotions and impulses bubbling up and organizes them in a semi-coherent fashion, in order to function as somewhat rational beings. Motor and steering.
Societies are the raw energies bubbling up, as civil and cultural forms coalesce in. Youth and age, liberal and conservative.
The conflict is that not every acorn gets to be an oak tree, so these decisions being made have real effect on those seeking expression.
Yet it is the tension and friction that makes reality real. Without the ups and downs, it’s a flatline.
As these mobile organisms, we experience reality as flashes of perception, cognition, then go on to sort, order and judge these impressions, to navigate our environment. Then narrate our journeys and build civilizations out of the collected knowledge. This makes the passage of time, from past to future, foundational to our sense of reality.
Yet the reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Potential>actual>residual.
The result is a funnel, as potential is nearly infinite, while actual is a small percentage of that and residual is only a tiny fraction of that.
Which creates serious distress, as we all pursue our potential. The downside of transcending the present, that the rest of life lives in.
As our minds take over selection from nature, the decisions get much harder.
The current primary obstacle is that society has come to treat the social contract enabling mass societies to function, as a commodity to mine from society. Aka, money. Some further thoughts on that;
A very good book on the origins of western civilization would be Gilbert Murray’s; The Five stages of Greek Religion;
