The frame with the longest ruler and fastest clock would be closest to this equilibrium of the vacuum.?
It would seem that if we remove all physical properties from space, the two qualities remaining would be equilibrium and infinity.
What fills space is energy and the forms it manifests.
Energy, as light, radiates to infinity, while form/mass coalesces toward equilibrium. Both entropic and diametrically opposed. We fluctuate in the middle, between everything canceling out and everything fading out. Cosmic convection cycles. Galaxies as storms in the universe.
Time is not so much the point of the present, moving past to future, as it is change, turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
Energy is "conserved," because it is what manifests as the present, so its activity creates the effect of time, as well as temperature, pressure, color, sound. Think frequencies and amplitudes.
So the energy, as process, goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past. As consciousness goes past to future, while the thoughts and feelings manifested go future to past.
Energy radiating outward, form coalescing inward.
We have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, while the central nervous system sorts through and further condenses the form/information precipitating out. Motor and steering. The heart and the head. The anarchy of desire versus the tyranny of judgement.

Just remember that the turtle is still plodding along, long after the rabbit has died.
