The logical fallacy of monotheism is that an absolute is more of an essence, than an ideal, so a spiritual absolute would be that essence of sentience, from which we rise, rather then an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. More the new born, than the wise old man. Consciousness seeking knowledge, than any particular form of it. The light shining though the film, than the images on it.
It’s just that reality is this dichotomy of energy radiating out, as form coalesces in, so we are and need both. Galaxies are light radiating out, as mass coalesces in. As biological organisms, we have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, along with a central nervous system to sort through and navigate all the forms being manifest, along with refereeing the emotions and impulses bubbling up.
Time is not so much the point of the present moving past to future, as it is change turning future to past, so the energy is constantly changing form, creating time. Which means the processes churn along, going past to future, while the patterns rise and fall, going future to past. Our consciousness is a process, while the thoughts are patterns.
Individuals go birth to death, while the species goes onto future generations, shedding old.
God, as this to down father figure lawgiver, is a narrative device for transmitting respect for authority and culture to succeeding generations and has been very useful, but confusing the absolute with the ideal leads to cultural narcissism, where we think/are taught that our cultural forms and mores are some universal ideal, rather than unique manifestations of our feedback with nature.
