The most basic flaw in the expanding universe model is that if space were actually expanding, the speed of light would have to increase proportionally, in order to remain CONSTANT!
Instead, two metrics are being derived from the same light, one based on the speed and one based on the spectrum.
When they came up with this cockamamie scheme, the argument was the expanding space stretched the lightwaves, but totally ignored the fact the speed still constitutes its own metric, aka, lightyears.
If the speed was the being used as the numerator, it would be a tired light model, but as an expanding space model, it is the denominator. The "Ruler."
One way light does redshift over distance is as multi spectrum "packets," as the higher frequencies dissipate faster, but that would mean we are sampling a wave front and therefore the quantification of light is an artifact of its detection. A loading, or threshold model.
Safe to say, we will keep finding ever further and older galaxies and the cosmologists will still keep scratching their heads.
