The problem for Israel now, is the degree to which they have unleashed those inner demons, that they have no way to bring them to heel. So either the skies crack open and everyone floats off to the promised land, or it keeps spiraling down the drain, dragging as much of Jewish culture as it can. Though there are those who do have the character and brain cells to see it all going horribly wrong. The largest schism in the history of Western monotheism is in the process of breaking open.
