The problem is that nature is cyclical, circular, reciprocal, feedback generated and we try to extract some linear, goal oriented paradigm out of it and either go to extremes, before the blowback kicks in, or run around, chasing our tails.
As a younger child in a large family, I learned early in life that there is a lot more space and freedom, if I'm not chasing after the same things as everyone else, especially since I didn't have much aptitude for competing and not a lot of advantages.
One thing to keep in mind is the infinite is in contrast to equilibrium. So when the expanse becomes overwhelming, sense the focus in everything. Each of us is the center point of our entire view of the universe, but many insist on selling their soul for the bling.
